Kendra Coffey, CFP®

Kendra Coffey, CFP® is the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer of Partners Bank of California. 

Prior to joining Partners Bank of California, Ms. Coffey was Senior Vice President of Deposit Operations for Luther Burbank Savings, where she was responsible for launching a business banking initiative, and managed treasury management, branch operations and central operations. 

Previous to her work at Luther Burbank Savings, Ms. Coffey served as Senior Vice President and Director of Deposit Operations at East West Bank, with executive oversight of deposit risk and fraud, branch operations, branch quality assurance, central operations, item processing, lockbox, and deposits systems and technology teams.

Prior to joining East West Bank, she was Executive Vice President of Bank Operations and Application Support at Sunwest Bank. She oversaw electronic banking, cash management, branch administration, operations, in-house lockbox operations and application support and project office. Under her leadership, assets grew from $250 million to more than $850 million, the bank successfully converted five acquired banks expanding into new markets in Idaho, Arizona, Utah and Washington. She also spearheaded delivery of a network of self-service and digital banking platforms and capabilities including lockbox, check image capture, mobile banking, and online banking technologies.

Ms. Coffey began her banking career more than 30 years ago as a management intern for the Federal Reserve Bank, New Orleans office of the Atlanta district. 

Throughout her career, Ms. Coffey has managed numerous bank acquisitions from business processes, organizational decisions and data mapping for successful system conversions. Not only does she enjoy the responsibility of overseeing operations, compliance, digital banking, branch administration, human resources, internal audit, and vendor management, but she also enjoys being directly involved in identifying improvement opportunities, and planning and implementing positive changes to improve efficiency and profitability, and/or decrease risk exposure.

Ms. Coffey appreciates being able to directly participate in massive industry shifts, but willingly shares her experiences and industry understanding with others who also want to be agents of change in their careers. She continues to enjoy learning and sharing her business experience.  

Ms. Coffey also found financial planning and investing an interesting add-on to her banking experience and earned a CFP certification while working full time. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Economics from Penn State.
