Commercial Lending Underwriter

Summary Statement

Partners Bank of California is seeking an experienced Commercial Lending Underwriter to support our Commercial Banking team through credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite moderate to complex C&I and CRE loans in accordance with bank policies
• Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flow, collateral, guarantors, and third‑party reports
• Prepare clear, well‑supported credit approval memorandums
• Assign and support accurate risk ratings and monitor portfolio performance
• Collaborate with Credit Advisors, Credit Administration, legal counsel, and clients
• Identify early problem credits and support timely resolution
• Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations (CRA, Reg B, Reg O, BSA/OFAC, etc.)

Qualifications

• 5+ years underwriting commercial credits (medium to large, moderately complex)
• 5+ years banking or financial services experience
• Bachelor’s degree and/or formal credit training
